President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressed the Friday congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam. In his speech, he stated that Allah greatly favors those who are grateful in all circumstances. He elaborated that those who are content with a little, Allah increases His blessings upon them, and blessings are withdrawn from those who are ungrateful.
He said that the saints unanimously agree that they are always content with what they have and express gratitude in all circumstances. “The glitter and glamour of the world do not affect them. Those who express gratitude find refuge in Allah Himself. Allah creates means of sustenance for the grateful servants. True wealth is not the abundance of material possessions but the richness of the heart.
Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that a miser is someone who hoards wealth for personal comfort and does not spend it on others. He said that love of wealth makes one stingy and miserly, and there is no reward for such individuals in the hereafter. He asked the faithful to love humanity for the sake of Allah instead of wealth.
“For those who spend in the path of Allah, ease awaits in the Hereafter,” he concluded.
